Case Study

Air France Crew Management System Renewal

Since the beginning of its Crew Management System Renewal project, OpenAirlines has been helping Air France to define its target, functional and technical architecture, migration roadmap and business case.

In the implementation phase, OpenAirlines partnered with a software house to deliver an innovative and state-of-the-art turn-key solution for a fixed price. This solution has been delivered in record 2 year time and within budget.

It is now used every day to construct and track all the activities and bids of the 2500 long haul pilots (Flights, trainings, other ground activities, rests, vacations, etc.) and to insure that the crew plannings are legal.
It is used from initial construction to the day of operations.

This project is considered as a major success within the company and leads the way to the replacement of the mission-critical legacy system which had been used for more than 20 years.
